Deb Nelson Recognized for Traffic Safety Honor Roll
Each year, the North Dakota Department of Transportation, Office of Traffic Safety, recognizes outstanding service to the community, information technology, safety, public affairs and consumer educational programs throughout the state of North Dakota in the area of traffic safety. The award honors individuals, teams, and organizations that have made a difference within their agency, community, or the state. Recipients of the award have demonstrated long-term contributions to traffic safety and have exceeded or gone beyond that which is generally accepted as being part of his or her responsibility.
Three individuals are recognized each year through the Traffic Safety Honor Roll, which represents the highest association and recognition by the ND Office of Traffic Safety. Deb Nelson, president of DLN Consulting, Inc. was recognized as one of the 2006 Traffic Safety Honor Roll recipients at the ND Alcohol Forum held in Bismarck in February.
Nelson was recognized for her more than 17 years in the traffic safety field, first as a community coordinator, and since 1998, as a consultant for the Office of Traffic Safety. Nelson's photo and overview of accomplishments is displayed in the ND Traffic Safety Honor Roll, which is located in the front lobby display of the North Dakota Department of Transportation on the state capitol grounds in Bismarck.
